Liquid filter bag performance

Temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, oil, organic solution and other properties of liquid filter bags of different materials:


  1. Polypropylene (PP):

    • Excellent acid and base resistance, suitable for various acidic and alkaline liquids.
    • Good performance with oils and organic solvents, but caution is needed for certain strong materials.
  2. Polyethylene (PE):

    • Fair resistance to acids and bases but not suitable for strong acids and bases.
    • Suitable for filtering various oils and alcohols/ethers.
  3. Nylon (NYLON):

    • Moderate performance for acid and base resistance; not suitable for strong acids or strong bases.
    • Poor resistance to oils and organic solvents; suitable for applications where the chemical properties of the liquid are not stringent.
  4. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE):

    • Exhibits the best overall performance among all materials, with excellent resistance to acids, bases, oils, and organic solvents.
    • Suitable for applications with high filtration requirements and is virtually unaffected by chemical substances.

Liquid filter bags characteristics

Needle felt liquid filter bag is the most general filter bag, it has high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high filtration accuracy, large filtration area, large sewage volume, high interception efficiency, economical and applicable characteristics. Monofilament filter bag is generally used for coarse effect surface filtration, nylon and polyester monofilament filter bag has high wear resistance, high operating temperature tolerance, good corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, filter hole is not easy to deformation, used to filter large particle impurities. Efficient multi-layer oil absorption filter bag, made of melt-blown process, using multi-layer ultra-fine polypropylene fiber, with good hydrophobic oil affinity characteristics, can absorb more than ten times the weight of oil, add activated carbon filter material in the filter bag, oil can remove part of the pigment and odor.
